This sketch of Frankie Manning was inspired by a wonderful photo taken while we were dancing the Shim Sham together. His pose and expression capture, for me, his Frankie-ness: the playful, improvisational way he moved when he danced.
Frankie was my teacher, friend and dance partner for over fifteen years.
The original is not for sale, but it is available as a fine art print, framed or unframed.
